Privacy policy

The short version

PerDay keeps your budgets and expenses on your own device. We do not have accounts, we do not run a server that receives your entries, and we do not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies.

What is stored, and where

• Your ledger (monthly budgets, expenses, income, recurring entries, your own categories, category limits, reminder choices and your settings such as language and currency) is saved in your browser's own storage on this device. It is never sent to us.
• Files you import (such as a bank statement in CSV form) are read on your device only and are not uploaded anywhere. The reminders file you can create is made on your device too.
• Your language choice is also remembered in your browser's local storage.
• Because the data lives only on your device, clearing the site's data, uninstalling the app, or switching devices removes or leaves behind your ledger. Use More → Backup & restore to download a backup file that you keep.

What leaves your device

• Exchange rates. When you record an expense in a foreign currency and ask for a live rate, the app asks public exchange-rate services (open.er-api.com, cdn.jsdelivr.net and latest.currency-api.pages.dev) for rates. The request contains only a currency code, never amounts or descriptions, but those services can see your IP address as for any web request.
• Files you create. PDF reports, CSV exports and backups are created on your device and saved or shared by you. We never receive them.
• Hosting. The files that make up the app are served by Cloudflare. Like any web host, it may keep standard server logs (such as IP address and time of request) under its own privacy policy.

Fonts and other resources

All fonts and images are served with the app itself. The app does not load anything from Google or other third parties, apart from the exchange-rate lookups above.

Your choices

You can export everything at any time, and you can delete everything by clearing this site's data in your browser or by removing the installed app.

Children

The app is a general budgeting tool and is not directed at children.
